Nash County Officials Say Man Charged In Wife's Murder Is Suicidal

A funeral home operator accused of first-degree murder in the death of his wife was moved from the county jail to Central Prison because officials say he's suicidal.

Nash County officials say 36-year-old Mark Anthony Bowling was transferred over the weekend because he was "extremely suicidal" after his arrest.

Bowling and Rose Deloris Vincent of Middlesex are charged with first-degree murder in the death of Bowling's wife, Julie. They are being held under no bond and a judge told them that they could face the death penalty.

Forty-five-year-old Julie Bowling was found dead Friday morning in her garage in Rocky Mount. Authorities have said she had been shot multiple times.

Authorities have said they believe Bowling and Vincent were romantically involved and that their relationship was the motive for the killing.
