They Want To Tax What?
Services you use everyday could cost more if some state lawmakers get their way.

Services you use everyday could cost more if some state lawmakers get their way.
A proposed house bill would charge a service tax for things like warranties, installations and repairs, local and interstate courier services like Fed-Ex, downloading ringtones and songs, haircuts, movie tickets, and the state sales tax would increase by a quarter percent.
Local business owners and organizations don't like the idea saying people will just opt not to buy certain goods or services.
No final decisions have been made. Lawmakers are expected to vote on a final bill by the end of the month.

Why can we not just cut spending. Why will not any politician answer that question. Simple and straight forward and the governor. Just cut spending

Tax, tax, tax...we are going to end up being taxed to death...some people are already having trouble buying what they need and paying their bills...this is just going to make it worse.

To "Hey Sam", I know there are people who cant work at all and need some type of help in order to live, and that's unfortunate. As far as being monitored a lot closer and audited and more service oriented, I can agree with that. Anyways something needs to change with this anyhow. To Obama Snake Oil, I completely agree with you about the illegal immigrant situation and NC should do like SC did. South Carolina runs a much better government than North Carolina does. I would go one step further and prioritize doubling the size of the border patrol and tell the border patrol people that anybody who tries to cross into the United States without having legal access should be shot dead as they are caught. This will get many of them to think about it before they try this. Had they did this 30 years ago, we would not have a problem at all with illegals, therefore making a better economy. To Toby, if there was such a bumper sticker, I would burn the thing in public.
