An appliance maker in New Bern says it's
adding 200 jobs over the next five years and will invest eleven
In exchange, the state will give B-S-H Home Appliances a grant
of up to a million and a half dollars over ten years.
B-S-H Home Appliances is a subsidiary of German manufacturer
Bosch und Siemens Hausgerte, the world's third-largest home
appliance maker. The company makes and distributes dishwashers,
ovens, washers, dryers, refrigerators and freezers under the
Gaggenau, Siemens, Bosch and Thermador brands.
B-S-H employs about a thousand people at its three manufacturing
plants and distribution center in Craven County. The expansion will
allow the company to produce a new line of dishwashers.
The average yearly salary will be nearly 36-thousand dollars,
about four-thousand dollars more than the county average.
