Onslow Vietnam Memorial Opens To Public

It was a day to honor fallen hero's during the Vietnam War in Onslow County as the memorial wall was unveiled during a dedication ceremony.

The ceremony took place at the Lejeune Memorial Gardens around 11 Saturday morning.

There was a procession by the color guard which lead the way. Organizers say this is one of the few Vietnam Walls in the country that have all 58,229 names on it.

The final design consists of a reflecting pool covered by a gazebo
and surrounded by nearly 600 feet of a glass wall .
