The official start of summer is still over a week away but it will feel like it has already started this weekend. Highs should reach into the upper 80s with high relative humidity. The heat index on Saturday afternoon should hit the middle to upper 90s. There will be a 30% risk for thunderstorms on Saturday as a cold front slowly drifts south into the area. The front will hang around the area during the entire weekend causing a threat of showers. Much of the weekend will be rain free. The beaches look good with light winds and highs in the middle 80s. Winds will blow from the southwest at 10 to 15 mph on Saturday then shift to light northerly on Sunday.
