Two brothers convicted of a quadruple killing that inspired a Sean Penn film want a new trial because of a recent book about the case.
Norman and David Johnston filed motions last month claiming that the book "Jailing The Johnston Gang" contains new details that would have helped them at trial.
They were convicted in 1980 of killing four teens to cover up a multimillion-dollar burglary ring in southeastern Pennsylvania.
Former state Supreme Court Justice William Lamb prosecuted the case and says the new claims lack merit.
The case inspired the 1986 film "At Close Range." Bruce Johnston Sr., a third convicted brother, died in prison in 2002.
