Authorities in Cumberland County do not suspect foul play in the death of a woman and her two young children found dead in a car inside their garage.
The sheriff's office says investigators found Faye Johnson Vick, and her children, 2-year-old Jason Vick and 3-month-old Madison Vick, about 12:30 yesterday afternoon.
Investigators went to their home after one of Faye Vick's acquaintances called them, worried because she had missed an appointment.
Sheriff's department spokeswoman Debbie Tanna says an investigation inside the house led detectives to conclude no one else had been involved in the deaths.
Tanna says investigators are waiting for the state Medical Examiner's Office in Chapel Hill to complete autopsies before they say how the three died.
A neighbor says Vick's husband, Lieutenant Colonel Jason Vick, was deployed in Germany, but was returning home after being told of his family's deaths.
