Anyone with military identification
can get a free Christmas tree next month at the main post exchange
at Camp Lejeune thanks to a program sponsored by tree growers.
Eight hundred trees will be given away December Eleventh by the
Christmas SPIRIT Foundation.
Nicole Kellogg of the foundation, which is the charitable branch
of the National Christmas Tree Association, said the group got a
boost from Federal Express which is helping with transportation.
Each military branch decided which bases would get trees. In
addition to Lejeune, trees will be given away at Marine Corps Air
Station Cherry point.
