A vintage racing suit once worn by NASCAR great Dale Earnhardt has been reported stolen from Texas Motor Speedway.
Fort Worth police announced they're investigating the theft of the suit that was donated to T-M-S president Eddie Gossage as a gift.
The suit, helmet, racing gloves and racing shoes turned up missing this month from a locked storage cabinet at the T-M-S administrative offices.
Police put the value of the items at up to 100-thousand dollars. Earnhardt was a a seven-time Winston Cup champion who died in a 2001 wreck on the final turn of the Daytona 500.
His son is current racing great Dale Earnhardt Junior.
