Hipp-Hop Artist "Freekey Zekey" Released From Durham Jail

"Freekey Zekey" is a free man. Hip-hop's Ezekiel Jiles, a key figure behind The Diplomats, has been released from a Durham jail after serving roughly three years on drug charges.

The 31-year-old Jiles was convicted in early 2004 for running an ecstasy ring based in New Hanover County. The New York City native
has no family ties to North Carolina.

Jiles is a member and occasional vocalist for The Diplomats, better known as "Dipset." The group is known in part for garish fashions and lyrical imagery that often focuses on the drug trade.

The group's biggest successes have come from solo albums rather than albums recorded as The Diplomats.
