There is not much left of a Camaro that was struck by a train Monday morning.
Authorities say the 75-year-old driver, whose identity is unknown at this time, was traveling West bound on Blount Street in Winterville at approximately 15 miles-per-hour, when he tried to cross the track, even after the train sounded its whistle.
Authorities say the train was traveling around 20 miles-per-hour, when it struck the car dragging it over 90 feet.
At the railroad crossing, there was no cross arm or flashing lights signaling a train crossing.
Charges are pending for the driver.
