Seven people remain hospitalized today including two critically injured children after the fatal tornado that ripped through Riegelwood last week.
Eight people were killed and 20 people were injured when the tornado hit a mobile home park and an adjacent neighborhood in the small riverside town on Thursday.
Columbus County Commissioner Kipling Godwin says two children are in critical condition at University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
Godwin says two other children are in stable condition at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville. And three adults are being treated at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington two are in good condition, one is in fair condition.
The storm caused more than 500-thousand dollars in damage and destroyed more than a dozen homes.
