East Carolina University has some new art, from some younger artists on display.
In fact the art is spread all across Greenville, not only at East Carolina, but also the courthouse, and Emerge Gallery. But the artists are the story, they're kids from the fifth grade up to teenagers in high school and their message is that drugs, alcohol, and smoking hurt lives. Organizers with the project say the kids have to teach themselves, about the harms of substance abuse. The art in the galleries was done by some 200 kids within the Pitt County school system. It will remain on display until November 30th, throughout Greenville.
