The state's Division of Facility Services has added information about adult-care home violations on its Web site: http://facility-services.state.nc.us/
The expanded Web postings include a short description of infractions to offer consumers more specific information about incidents and the levels of violations at certain homes.
Advocates say posting more information on the Web site is a positive step. Previously, only general information about state laws and rules were posted on the site, which didn't give consumers information about specific incidents and infractions.
North Carolina is now one of fewer than ten states that offer detailed information online about violations for assisted-living centers.
