NC Firm Trading Food For Campaign Signs To Help Clean Up

Here's one way to clear the roadsides of campaign signs: free food for each one brought in.

Boddie-Noell Enterprises in Rocky Mount says that between Wednesday and November 15th, patrons of Highway Diner can trade a sign for a coupon for a barbecue sandwich.

Brand Manager Angela Davis says the company wants the community
to be clean or attractive, especially with the holidays approaching.

A Chick-fil-A restaurant in Rocky Mount has offered to trade chicken sandwiches for signs. It had a similar offer two years ago and the franchise owner says he gave away nearly one-thousand sandwiches.
