Its a growing problem that got people moving Saturday in Greenville.

Folks were Walking for a Cure Saturday at the Pitt County Fair Grounds. At least one thousand people, and around 120 teams took part in the fundraiser aimed at helping fight juvenile diabetes. And sadly, organizers say Juvenile Diabetes is a growing problem here in Eastern Carolina, one that is getting worse rather than better. They say, from 2004 to 2005, there was a 15 to 20 percent increase in Juvenile Diabetes in kids.

Last year 135,000 dollars was raised and this year the goal was 175,000, a goal organizers think they will hit. They add 80 percent of the money raised will actually go to researching a cure.
