More Treat Than Trick For Revelers In Downtown Greenville This Halloween

Greenville is well-known for it's well-attended Halloween celebration. In addition to the thousands of revelers, more than 100 officers worked the downtown area. Many worked checkpoints where officers screened each partygoer for drugs or weapons, even confiscating plastic guns and swords. Overall, Greenville police issued fewer than 40 citations and made fewer than 10 arrests. Buffalo Wild Wings Assistant General Manager Tedric Evangelista says the night was a success. Including money collected on Halloween, Evangelista's restaurant collected about $3000 this month for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
