Volunteers and law enforcement alike are scurrying together to find 36-year-old, missing Alliance woman, Laura Miller Edwards.
Edwards' co-workers first grew suspicious after she failed to come into work on Wednesday at Potter Oil and Tire Company, where she works as a secretary.
Now, employees at the Potter Oil and Tire Company have formed their own search party, looking for Edwards day and night.
Pamlico County Sheriff Billy Sawyer says there are no suspects at this time and that the investigation is ongoing.
