A search is on in Pamlico County after a woman doesn't show up for work and her car is found abandoned. Authorities are looking for 36-year-old Laura Miller Edwards. The Pamlico County Sheriff's Office says her car was found abandoned and locked, with her purse inside in Alliance, just outside of Bayboro, Tuesday night. Friends and co-workers became concerned when Edwards didn't show up for work at the Potter Oil Company in Aurora in Beaufort County Wednesday. A search and rescue team from Goldsboro and the S.B.I. are helping in the search.
