Crop Duster Crashes In Craven County

By  |

A crop-duster pilot is nursing a broken nose and cracked ribs today after his plane went down in Craven County. Authorities say William James Brinkley crashed near a grassy landing strip and a middle school Saturday night.

The cause of the accident is being investigated, but Brinkley's
mother tells the New Bern Sun Journal that her son says the engine
just quit. The plane had a full load of fuel, but did NOT catch
fire.
