Gloomy skies over Kinston couldn't dampen the spirits of one family Sunday.
Family, friends, well-wishers and more, gathered at 1402 West Washington Street in Kinston at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon. The reason, Shelia Chatman's sweat equity has finally paid off and she gets her new home from Habitat For Humanity. A day she's been waiting for, but a day she and her family have worked really hard for.
Shelia's home is going to get good use this holiday season. She is going to host her family for Thanksgiving dinner this year.
