You can't have a Homecoming Weekend without a Homecoming parade, and this year's certainly didn't disappoint.
Organizers say this was one of the biggest parades in years, topping last year. It featured 53 floats, 4 marching bands from all over Eastern Carolina, the entire Homecoming Court, last year's Homecoming Queen, a number of outstanding alumni, and the Grand Marshall was Greenville's Mayor Don Parrot. But the parade is more than just people and floats going down a street. Its a tradition that brings families together.
WITN was also proud to air the parade live on our station Saturday morning at ten a.m. Heather King and Chancellor Steve Ballard were the honored hosts.
