Hispanics are being targeted by recruiters from historically black colleges and universities, where officials say the shift could deplete enrollments.

North Carolina has increased 600 percent in the past 15 years.
At North Carolina A-and-T, several publications are printed in
Spanish. An A-and-T official says the school also recruits at high
schools with heavy Hispanic populations and is in contact with
organizations that are managed or run by Latinos.
