A honeymoon is supposed to be relaxing and romantic. For North Carolina journalist Dan Fields, it was an earthshaking experience.
The editor of The Sanford Herald was in Hawaii when an
earthquake hit the island chain early Sunday, staying at the Hilton
Waikoloa Village resort on the big island of
Hawaii -- not far from the epicenter.
Fields tells the A-P that he saw piles of shoes and luggage in
the resort's shops and ground coffee all over the floor of the
coffee shop. But he says the buildings appear to have sustained
only superficial damage.
