Six Marines from a unit based at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville have been killed in Iraq. All six were part of the Second Marine Expeditionary unit and died during combat from Friday through Monday in the Anbar Province. More than 2700 U.S. troops have died in Iraq since the war began. Thursday was another day with no letup in the violence. At least 21 people died in Baghdad, including 11 killed in an assault on a television station. A suicide bomber also rammed a police patrol, and there have been two separate bomb attacks. Nearly 2700 Iraqi civilians died last month alone.
