Plenty of people in Beaufort County Sunday night experienced what WITN experienced and that would be a blackout!
A transformer near the meeting of Dixon Road and Highway 33 East caught fire.
Officials believe a tree branch fell on top of a main electrical line just after 7:40pm knocking out power to a large portion of Chocowinity and the surrounding area.
Progress Energy workers responded and according to their website power was restored by 10:15om.
