Its been nearly a year since the groundbreaking at Carolina Crossroads Music Theater and Entertainment District in Roanoke Rapids. Developers say construction on the district, including the Randy Parton Theater, is ahead of schedule. Though the construction is in full swing, organizers are already in the middle of a concert series helping to raise a pledge of one million dollars for Children's Miracle Network. This weekend, Hank Williams, Jr. and Gretchen Wilson take the stage. Organizers are anticipating more than 30 thousand people at the event, which will also offer a rock climbing wall, an electric bull and a NASCAR simulator. The million dollars raised by Carolina Crossroads will be donated locally to children's hospitals in Greenville and Durham.
