The Silver Alert for 83-year-old Cleo Knight Hill in Scotland Neck has been cancelled. No one was available at the Halifax County Sheriff's Office to answer questions about why the alert was cancelled.
The alert was issued at 3:30 a.m. Monday; it was cancelled at 6:15 a.m.
Lawmen have issued a Silver Alert for an elderly woman who's disappeared wearing her nightgown.
The Silver Alert was issued early Monday for Cleo Knight Hill. Lawmen say the 83-year-old and was last seen in Scotland Neck in Halifax County. The African American woman was last seen wearing a green nightgown.
The Silver Alert says Hill may be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment. People are asked to keep a lookout for her.
