An informant for the San Francisco Police Department, who disappeared in 2004 after being linked to the murder of a police officer, has surfaced in Eastern Carolina.
He's now charged in a string of car break-ins in Wilson.
The Wilson Police Department says 26-year-old Marvin Jeffrey Jr. is charged with 20 car break-ins that started in July. He's also wanted for nearly 50 car break-ins in Raleigh and near N.C. State University.
In 2004, Jeffrey became an informant for San Francisco Police, after getting caught running an ID theft ring.
He was later accused of providing an AK-47 to the suspect who killed a police officer. Jeffrey has been on the run ever since.
