Lieutenant Colonel Chris Lovejoy is now stationed at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville. On 9/11, he was based in Quantico, Virginia. Lovejoy talked to us Monday about his experience in Washington D.C., where he was called after the hijacked commercial airline slammed into the Pentagon. Lovejoy said once people realized the enormity of what happened, a kind of quiet determination, professionalism took over and it was like okay, this is what we're dealing with. This is what we're trained for. You're never really trained for something like this, but we're trained to be professionals, so guys got their game faces on. Lieutenant Colonel Lovejoy was also one of many Marine Air Specialists who escorted Air Force One when President Bush visited Ground Zero after the attack.
