There's a new scam swirling around that's out to rob you of thousands of dollars. It's called the Switzerland Lottery and one Eastern Carolina couple received a letter promising $65,000 if they would first cash an enclosed check for over $1700. Tracy Jordan says he and his wife started to grow suspicious after they went and cashed the check. Consumers are directed to wire the money to the scam artist to cover taxes for the big prize, but when the lottery winnings never come in, the person is then left to payback the bank for a bogus check. If you receive this scam in the mail, you are advised to notify authorities.
