On and off quick downpours will be possible through Sunday afternoon. Heavier rain could bring another 1 to 3 inches of rain to a few locations late Sunday and into Monday afternoon.
More rain is the last thing Eastern Carolina needs. Unfortunately, that's exactly what we got Tuesday. Heavy downpours were an unwelcome sight in many parts of Eastern Carolina, still saturated from Tropical Storm Ernesto. The additional rain is causing rivers to swell even more. The eastern half of the state is under a flood advisory.
