A North Carolina museum is celebrating healthy eating by displaying sculptures made out of canned food.
The Marbles Kids Museum in Raleigh opens what's become its 10th annual Canstruction competition on Saturday. The event pits seven local design and architectural firms against each other as they build giant sculptures on the theme of food and good eating.
The displays made out of nonperishable food items focus on healthy fruits and vegetables.
It's part of a national competition that raises awareness about the fact that every can of food makes a difference in fighting hunger and malnutrition.
At the end of the exhibit, the food will be donated to the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina to help feed the hungry.
