Remembering The Pet Rescues Following Katrina

Thousands of family pets were displaced by Hurricane Katrina and separated from their families one year ago. Greenville resident and pet groomer Cora Tyson traveled to Louisiana last summer to help with the animal rescue effort. When she returned she brought back some special souvenirs. Tyson's family cared for five dogs displaced from one home. They located the dogs' owner, who gave Tyson's family one of the dogs as a token of her gratitude.
