A Camp Lejeune Marine has been charged with causing a deadly accident Friday night in Jacksonville.

Police say Lance Corporal Timothy Driscoll failed to yield the right of way when using a turn around on Marine Boulevard.

Killed was John Allen II, who was driving a box van which overturned after being struck by Driscoll's car.

The 19-year-old Driscoll is charged with failure to yield the right of way and misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.

To me again: Find someone that can give a logical answer to that, and a lot of us will be happy! I totally agree.

I understand that this is news, but when will I see a headline that reads, "Banker Charged After Deadly Crash," or "Doctor Charged After Deadly Crash," or "(fill in the blank) Charged After Deadly Crash?" Why is their occupation so important. Maybe the headline should have read "Teen Charged After Deadly Crash." People other than Marines do wrong things. Go to the base and find some good things to report on.
