Crews Work Hard To Restore Power In Our Area
Progress Energy says in their service area, Beaufort, Craven and Lenoir counties have been the hardest hit this morning.

Progress Energy says several thousand homes in the area lost their power due to this morning's storms.

Right now there are 8 customers in Kinston without power.

Greenville Utilities says 400 customers were without power for about 20 minutes in the Bells Fork area after a tree fell on a power line this morning.

Beaufort County's emergency management reported that up to 3,000 homes in Washington were without power because of trees on power lines. Directors say that number has decreased to 100 residents, they hope to have all outages restored later tonight.
