Greenville Police say a woman found an intruder in her home very early Tuesday morning.

The crime was reported at 2702 Town Drive at the Breezewood Apartment Complex in Greenville.

Police say the 21-year-old woman was returning home with some friends when they saw a man inside the residence. The burglar then fled out the back door and got away on a bicycle.

An iPod was reported missing but was later located just outside the back door.

Anyone with information is asked to call Pitt-Greenville Crime Stoppers at 758-7777.

Oh, please do not hold or harm the intruder. He/she is from a broken home, been abused, was on drugs at the time, was not given the same chance as others, raised in the projects, or any other excuse that can be given. I agree with Mr.T.

to suspiciousactivity, the time response was i heard about 1 min or less. but if some one calls 911 there is about less then a minuate delay because they have to transfere the call the the poilce department. also most people think only a minuate but get on a bike or run for a minuate and see how far you get, it will surprize you

Its a good thing the homeowner did'nt hurt the intruder cause the intruder would have sued him bigtime. Only in America

Too many things are happening around this area for this incident to be shoved under the carpet. It would be nice to know how they entered the property. What time and what alerted the resident? I hope this incident is followed up and more details given to the public.

Leave it to WITN to mislead you with a heading.

I am glad it wasnt my house. Of course they could have followed the trail of body fluids draining out of him on the ground. That is if he had made it to the bike.

The caption under the photo said "Find out what the intruder did when he was spotted." Well, he took off. I though the story was gonna say he did something odd. Big surprise.
