Some parents of elementary school children may send their kids to a different school in the fall. Onslow County Schools are working through the process of redistricting.
School officials list two reasons for redistricting their elementary schools. They are opening a new elementary school in Fall 2009. Officials also cite "extreme growth" as a factor for the need for change.
The Onslow County School board meeting on Tuesday, January 6 will allow a public comment period about redistricting. The meeting is at Meadow View Elementary School on Fire Tower Rd. in Jacksonville at 7 p.m.
