Camp Lejeune Marines Finish Lebanon Mission

They helped evacuate nearly 15,000 U.S. civilians during fighting between Lebanon and Israel. Now, Marines from the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit at Camp Lejeune have moved into the Red Sea. A spokesman says the unit is scheduled to train in the region during the next few months unless it is needed elsewhere, including support of combat in Iraq or Afghanistan. The unit is on a six-month deployment scheduled to end early next year.
