To potential small business owners, it's a sign of the future.
The Upper Coastal Plain Business Development Center in Wilson County will become a one-stop shop for local entrepreneurs in March of 2007.
Congressmen G.K Butterfield and Walter Jones presented the facility with a check of federal funds for more than $600,000 Monday.
The new facility will provide local entrepreneurs with free secretarial services, fax machines and all the other supplies needed to make their small business dreams a reality.
With an unemployment rate of 7.9%, one of the highest in the state and way above the state average of 4.8%, the new center is needed
in Wilson County.
