Natural gas prices won't be cheap this winter, but not as high as anticipated.
Officials with Greenville Utilities say it's too early to say whether the predicted drop will mean cheaper prices for customers. Anthony Miller, director of gas systems for G.U.C. said prices are not dropping as much as they increased last year, about 15 percent. In addition, Miller said it's virtually impossible to know the bottom line because the company has not purchased all of its gas for the winter and we're still in hurricane season. The predicted decrease for natural gas prices is about two percent.
