A woman in Rocky Mount is charged with killing a four year old boy with her car. Rebecca Neville, 25 years old, is charged with death by motor vehicle in connection with the death of Keligah Randolph early Saturday. Investigators say the victim's mother was angry because Neville took her kids home from the day care and was not approved to do so. Investigators say the little boy was sitting on his front steps when Neville and the victim's mother, Stephanie Randolph, got into an argument. Police say Neville then got in her car, drove across the grass and drove up on the front porch. Authorities say the little boy sustained the brunt of the impact and died a short time later. Rocky Mount police think Neville wanted to hurt the Randolph family after an argument with the boy's mother. They have asked Edgecombe County prosecutors to upgrade the charge in the case to first-degree murder. Lawmen say incidents like these naturally raise questions about placing kids in daycare.
