Get ready for a faster and smoother ride. Jet service is coming to the Pitt Greenville Airport. Of the five daily flights from Greenville to Charlotte, two will be provided by jets. The other three flights will continue to be on turboprop planes.

US AIRWAYS COMMENCES REGIONAL JET SERVICE BETWEEN ITS CHARLOTTE HUB AND GREENVILLE, N.C.
TEMPE, Ariz., August 9, 2006 — Beginning October 5, US Airways (NYSE: LCC) will introduce regional jet service from its hub in Charlotte to Greenville. Of the five daily flights between the two markets, two will be served by US Airways wholly owned subsidiary PSA Airlines using the 50-seat CRJ200 regional jet. The other three flights will continue to be operated by US Airways’ other wholly owned subsidiary Piedmont Airlines using a combination of 37-seat and 50-seat deHavilland Dash 8s. This is the first time US Airways will fly regional jets into Greenville.
"US Airways is committed to responding to specific increases in passenger demand to a particular market, and as a result, we are especially pleased to introduce regional jet service to Greenville,” said Schedule Planning and Alliances Senior Vice President Andrew Nocella.
