Testimony today in the trial of a former C.I.A. contractor accused of beating an Afghan detainee who later died, focused on the accused's behavior. David Passaro is on trial in federal; court in Raleigh. He is the first American civilian charged with mistreating a detainee during the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. An individual testifying today said Passaro was aggressive and full of rage. If convicted, the 40-year-old Passaro faces up to 40 years in prison.
