Duke University is demanding its insurance company cover the costs of its settlement with three former lacrosse players who were falsely accused of rape.

The school filed a lawsuit Monday against National Union Fire
Insurance Co. The suit seeks compensation for the undisclosed
settlement and other costs incurred in the fallout of the case.

The lawsuit said the insurer has paid nothing toward the case.

More than 40 unindicted players from the 2006 lacrosse team have
since sued the university.

The lawsuit said National Union breached its contract. The
school said it repeatedly notified the insurance company about the
details of the investigation and that National Union repeatedly
acknowledged that its policies potentially covered the claims.

To Obama Snake Oil Co., you hit the nail right on the head with that post. I am very surprised WITN let that on get up. I know that in Gray TV's eyes, Al and Jesse are almost as sacred as Barack himself.

Maybe Duke University should have stood by the innocent lacrosse players and stopped their left-leaning professors and other school officials from blathering on about something they didn't know anything about. Perhaps then, they wouldn't have had to pony up the cash. I don't feel sorry for them. They should sue the lying woman, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, the NAACP and their own liberal professors to recoup the money. They are the ones who did the damage.

Actually, they should sue Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson for liable. They were the ones that had the players guilty and gave all the press coverage. They should be accountable for what they said and what they did. Still, they haven't apologized for destroying these kids lives. Who are the racist? I think you know the answer to this one.

The money paid out in this lawsuit should come from the personal funds of the Duke Administrators who threw the lacrosse players under the bus, without waiting for the facts to come out. I know Duke is a private and not state owned university, but why should an insurance company or Duke university pay for negligence on the part of the administrators. Maybe the insurance company should pay up and then sue the administrators.

Thier lying accuser should be made to pay this.
