The City of Havelock experienced a spill of untreated wastewater of estimated 60,000 gallons today, an estimated 10,000 of which reached State waters.

The spill was a result of a collapsed sewer main repair in the Westbrooke Shopping Center.

Crews are on scene remedying the situation presently, and all proper authorities have been notified.
