I'm not sure if everyone sees the most obvious curiosity about this horrible crash. If I had ran over another human being and killed them as a result of my running a traffic light, then I may very well have a stroke because of the stress I experienced after realizing what I had done and how violent a death I had caused. In my humble opinion, I believe the truck driver had his stroke AFTER seeing the devasting circumstances. It does not matter that he had a stroke before or after the wreck. Bottom line- he went through a red light while others were abiding by the law, which got them killed. I may be wrong but I think he got so upset when the depth of what he had done finally set in and had a stroke. I would have probably had a heart attack and died right there. I don't know if I could live with my conscience after that. My sincere prayers go out to both families.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims of this tragic accident and the truck driver also. I do not recall reading anything that indicated the driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol. If that had been the case, I would be voting to hang him. Without drugs or alcohol involved, it appears to be a terrible accident, that in the blink of an eye could be one of us. I doubt anyone that has driven a vehicle has not run through a stop sign or a red light, just by the grace of God . . .

Hey stupid! They do have rules for truck drivers to have regular medical check ups. It's called a DOT physical. Word at the scene of the accident was that the driver MAY have suffer a mild heart attack or stroke. NOTHING except being hooked to the proper equipment at the hospital could foresee this happening, if in fact it did. Pray for ALL families involved here and think what could you do to avoid something of this magnitude. He MAY have actually ran the stoplight. WE do not know. I myself had a medical emergency in Kinston one day and through the grace of God, drove myself to the hospital. Don't fault this driver because he is a driver. Things happen. You may one day be caught in a similar situation, but I pray not.
