Farmers Need Cooler Temperatures & Rain

Many jobs have the luxury of being indoors during this week's heat wave, but farming isn't like most jobs. Area farmers are working through some of the hottest weather in years. And farmers say their crops are suffering with them. Above 95 degrees, with high humidity, the plants are unable to adequately cool themselves. The heat, and recent lack of rain, have some area farmers harvesting crops early and that's no easy task. Many farmers say they're hoping for rain to revitalize the wilting crops.
