An environmental group released a report warning vacationers to beware of contaminated beach water all around the country. So, how did North Carolina come out in the report?
It actually shows a 78% decrease in the number of days advisories were posted for beach waters from 2004 to 2005. Advisories fell from 259 to 56. For the third straight year, the Natural Resources Defense Council says there were a record number of beach closings and health warnings nationwide.
