Greenville should be known for medicine and education, but it continues to be labeled as a place of shootings, murders, dope and robberies. Greenville is already encircled by a road names after Dr. MLK. So why don't they go ahead and name the center of the place - little Harlem or Obamanation?

I'm just glad it didn't happen on MLK blvd, or street. And I hope this person recovers and the gunman is found.

WITN, why does it have to be GUN violence. Why not call it people violence. There are more crimes commited by people than there are crimes that a gun is used in.The gun didnt commit a crime. I have never once seen a gun go steal a car and rob a gas station and murder the clerk in cold blood.I have however seen where that people have taken a gun whether it wanted to go or not and used it to commit these crimes. But if the gun was not available, then a knife, or a bat, or a tire iron,or bare hands have been used. So instead of gun crime, this was people crime. Instead of blaming the tool used, lets blame the criminal weilding it.Instead of banning useful tools, lets lock up or execute criminals that commit crimes.
